Runs in your browser, nothing to install. Requests go out through Collapy’s cloud, so your API doesn’t need to allow CORS and secret values are filled in on the server.
- Counts toward your plan’s monthly cloud executions — see plans
- Public addresses only: localhost and private networks can’t be reached

The same workspace as a native app. Requests go straight from your machine to the API, without passing through Collapy’s cloud.
- Doesn’t count toward the monthly cloud executions, and no per-minute limit
- Reaches localhost, your private network and your VPN
Same workspace. Different route to your API.
Both show the same requests, collections, environments and history, and both update live as your teammates work. The difference is where a request leaves from.

Questions
Can I download the desktop app?
Not yet. No desktop build has been published, so there is nothing to install today. Use the web app in the meantime — your requests, collections and environments live in Collapy, so they’ll be there when you switch.
Why can’t the web app reach localhost?
The web app sends every request from Collapy’s cloud. From there, localhost is the cloud server itself, not your computer, so a server on your machine or your office network can’t be reached. Use a public URL for now; the desktop app will send from your own computer.
Do desktop requests count against my plan?
Not toward the monthly cloud executions: desktop requests run on your computer, so they aren’t counted or blocked by that cap, and there’s no per-minute limit. They are still recorded in your team’s history, so they count toward the plan’s history limit.
